The ruler is seated in an oriental manner with the body facing forward and the head turned in profile looking towards his companions. His hair is wound in locks and tied at the front, falling to the front. If you look closely at the strands of hair, you can see that each one is adorned with small circular beads placed in line. In turn, all hair is held by a headdress that adorns the back of the head. This headdress is made up of a flower topped by a feather beam, which incorporates the mirror and night sign, the main and distinctive attribute of the god Itzamnaah, also known as god D of the codices. Itzamnaah was considered the god of wisdom, the most important of the Mayan pantheon and the inventor of writing.
