Babylon law code of Hammurabi Fragment Sculptural wall relief plaque www.Neo-Mfg.com 6.5"
SIZE: 6.5" tall and 3" wide and 2.25" deep
This is a replica portion of the great ancient Babylonian Code of Hammurabi. It is made to be as close to the original as possible, even showing missing pieces and a crack on the front that does not extend to the back.
This code was a vast list of laws that came to define the ancient society and influence modern day values and social structures. The term 'an eye for an eye' one of the most famous highlights of this seminal document first appeared here. This small version of the large monument shows the upper part of the finger and it is covered with fine Akkadian cuneiform text documenting the first laws. The two figures inhabit the finger nail portion in raised relief
